Jayd: Sweater Idea 2

Description

So, here's the story.

I handed this woman my favorite black sweater and an idea to put on it. To be stitched by a machine on the back. This I did back right as New Years hit 2008.

It's been four months and I haven't heard from her. When the sweater was suposto be complete by my birthday, it was going to be my gift to myself. In the beginning of Feb.
But it's April now and I'm concerned.

She said she called me once but I don't know if I believe that because my phone would obviously show it.

But after all these months I found out Zeph's hair is way too detailed to fit under 20,000 stitches or so.

So I had to quickly create a new idea and this was what I came up with after four days. A redrawn very old idea with a different background. I'm just hoping this one works because I've grown fond of it. I even fancied his hair for the occasion. I'm tired of losing money for things that shouldn't happen.

Have you considered silk-screening? The process would be entirely cheaper and save you the headache of dealing with the woman, which is apparently a bother according to your journal :P Another thought is it to have it digitally printed onto the material, doesn't look as nice, but is again much easier process than stiching it. Again another option, find some fabric paint, and take your image, print it out, and cut out the white parts, then overlay the stencil, and paint over it. This is essentially a homebrewed technique to silkscreening if you dont have access to a screen emulsion and ink. [ive put alot of research into it since im making shirts of my own, ive gotten everything but the screens and emulsion before i can begin working....still need to strip wire to get the last of the startup money] Anyways hope that help as some alternatives.
